The Will to WIN
The first 13 weeks of the New Orleans Saints 2009 season was filled with extreme joy and gladness. Fans from across the state and beyond were mesmerized by the awesomeness of the Who DAT Nation! Each time the Saints took the field from week to week, there was a confidence possessed which resulted in them being ranked #1 in their division. This did not happen overnight, in fact it took many years of defeat, rebuilding, and adjustments to get where they are, but they finally made it! Why did they make it? Because there was a personal determination on the inside of each member of the team which refused to settle for second best. There was no obstacle too great or battle to hard, when you posses the will to WIN.
The will to WIN is birthed from a desire on the inside to succeed. Winning does not come easy and it definitely does not come cheap. Winning means sacrifice, hard work, dedication, and determination to see your victory through to the end. Sometimes it requires going against the odds in order to reach that desired place or goal that you have set for yourself. Winning requires you to dig deep within your inner being and draw from places on the inside of you that you never imagined existed. Everyone has a desire to WIN in life but how we WIN and what we WIN is based on who’s coaching us in the game of life. In order to WIN you must be willing to die that your dream, your vision, your passion might live.
So how do you WIN in every area of our life? First, we must acknowledge the one who is able to keep us from falling and lead us into our desired victory. Secondly, our will must be directly aligned to the will that our Father has for our life. Thirdly, we must hold fast to the profession of our faith in order to experience the desired outcome we believe will come to pass. Finally, we must be prepared to stand until we receive the manifestation of what we believe God will do.
In 2010 let’s vow to WIN in every area of our life. The Will to WIN does not come easy but by the grace of God we shall overcome and be victorious!
